Finissage * Nur in Zeit * Liesel Burisch x Martin Wendelbo & Regen Li

As a prelude to the finissage 21 November, an open rehearsal of the performance work “There in Spirit” will take place on 9 November at 3 PM. The piece is currently being developed by Liesel Burisch in collaboration with dancer Carl Giacomello. 

During the open rehearsal you can witness the further development, testing and last tweaks between Liesel Burisch and Carl Giacomello as they prepare for the premiere of the performance on the 21st of November at 5 in Nikolaj Kunsthal. 

The performance piece is a continuation of experiments documented by cinematographer Rie Windfeld Schou in the Upper Gallery of Nikolaj Kunsthal. Here Liesel Burisch pushed the choreography from ”Hule hule” into a new context, examining what remains and what is lost when transferring movement from one body to another. The piece confronts core aspects of the exhibition by addressing how we project sacredness onto spaces and objects like a wafer as a body, a club as a space of free expression and a cave painting as a message. 

The open rehearsal takes place on Sunday 9 November at 3 PM.
The finissage follows on Thursday 21 November, with free admission and happy hour at the bar. The performance “There in Spirit” will begin at 5 PM.
