HANDS ON A HARD BODY: THE DOCUMENTARY
The documentary follows the 1995 competition which lasted for seventy-seven continuous hours. The film garnered the audience award for best documentary at the 1997 Los Angeles Film Festival. Quentin Tarantino referred to “Hands on a Hardbody” as one of his go-to movie recommendations. At the heart of the documentary is the endurance contest held by a car dealership in Longview, Texas. Contestants must keep one hand on a brand-new Nissan “hardbody” pickup truck, and the last person remaining wins the vehicle.
