Paradise Jazz: Walt Weiskopf & Carl Winter trio

Experience world-renowned saxophonist Walt Weiskopf with the Carl Winther Trio – an evening where American jazz tradition meets European energy in an intimate and virtuosic performance.

Walt Weiskopf European Quartet

In November 2025 and January 2026, world-renowned American saxophonist Walt Weiskopf will visit Denmark – and, of course, Paradise Jazz Copenhagen.

Weiskopf made his professional debut at the age of just 21 in the Buddy Rich Big Band, led by one of the greatest drummers in jazz history. This was the beginning of an international career that has taken him around the world and onto stages with legends such as Frank Sinatra.

For the past two decades, Walt Weiskopf has been an integral part of the iconic American band Steely Dan, known for their sophisticated sound and cult status under the leadership of Donald Fagen.

For this concert, he will be performing with his European ensemble, the Walt Weiskopf European Quartet – a band that has been thrilling audiences across the continent with intense and sold-out tours since 2017.

The quartet consists of Carl Winther (piano), Andreas Lang (bass) and Anders Mogensen (drums) – three musicians from the absolute European jazz elite, all with experience from collaborations with names such as Randy Brecker, Bob Berg, David Sanborn and Jerry Bergonzi.

Look forward to a seamless and engaging concert with four artists at the top of their game – an evening where American tradition meets European energy at the highest level.
