Urban Breakout at Stairway

Urban Breakout is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that, since 2022, has organized over 16 events and provided a platform for new voices in Danish hip-hop. Stairway offers a great atmosphere, a covered outdoor area, and a stage where you can discover the artists of tomorrow before anyone else does.

21-year-old Marius is a rising star in Danish pop and R&B. He combines melodic sensibility, raw honesty, and futuristic R&B vibes in a world that strikes a balance between emotion and party vibes. With roots in both an international upbringing and a Danish sensibility, he creates music that feels global in its expression but personal at its core.

Marius spent the first 11 years of his life in Singapore before making Christianshavn his home. His international upbringing has given him a natural eye for cultural differences and an openness that can be heard in his sound—where modern R&B-pop, dreamy productions, and warm melodies come together in a cohesive whole.

His creative journey began early. As early as age 12, he found an audience online through creative projects focused on style, aesthetics, and culture. There, he developed a strong sense of visual identity, atmosphere, and musical taste—and an intuitive ability to spot sounds and songs before they became widely popular.

In high school, music took over. A school project led to his first studio sessions, and from the very first recording, it was clear that music was meant to be more than just a hobby. Marius threw himself wholeheartedly into the craft: writing and practicing constantly, taking rap lessons several times a week, and writing hundreds of songs while purposefully reaching out to the industry.

Five years, countless sessions, and a solid team later, Marius now has a sound that balances vulnerability with cool self-confidence. His music is rooted in modern R&B-pop with subtle rap textures, experimental guitar sounds, and a deep respect for songwriting as a discipline. He writes everything himself and builds his universe layer by layer with lyrics that feel like mini-movies and hooks that stick in your mind like déjà vu from the very first listen.

For Marius, music is a space for growth. Driven by discipline, presence, and authenticity, he works purposefully to refine his artistic expression—and to use the pop format to speak out loud about things that many can relate to.

Bare Benja is one of the most exciting new voices on the Danish music scene. With a diverse sound blending alternative hip-hop, R&B, and soul, he manages to create a world that elegantly shifts between raw energy and intimate vulnerability. His lyrics revolve around life, love, and identity—told with raw honesty and a musical intensity that truly shines through.
On stage, Bare Benja really comes into his own. Together with his saxophonist, drummer, and bassist, he creates an immersive and energetic concert experience where the audience becomes part of the music. His charisma and powerful live performances have already made him a name to watch on the Danish up-and-coming scene.
