Daytime throwing wheel course with Szabina Lócki
This 30 hours ceramic course (6 days x 5 hours) introduces students to the fundamentals of wheel throwing and helps seasoned students to overcome challenges.
Beginning with basic cylinder forms, participants will build essential throwing techniques and confidence on the wheel.
The course progresses to closed forms and trimming, followed by open shapes such as bowls, refining control and form. Students will then design and create their own pieces, applying the skills they have developed.
In the final sessions, participants will explore decorative techniques and prepare their work for the first firing, followed by glazing and preparation for the second firing.
By the end of the course, students will have a collection of finished ceramic pieces and a solid foundation in wheel throwing.
Who can join?
The course is suitable for beginners and for those who would like a bit of guidance for their learning process.
