Learn wheel throwing on a weekend ceramics course w/Szabina Lócki

Interested in throwing pottery on a wheel, or looking to hone your skills? This weekend course offers focused clay practice and personal guidance throughout.

This ceramics course provides a comprehensive introduction to working on the potter's wheel. It is open to beginners and to whom that want to develop their technical skills and gain confidence working with clay.

During the weekend, you will work on centring, throwing and shaping a variety of forms. You will have the opportunity to experiment with narrow, wide, tall and low shapes, exploring your own creative expression in the process. You will have your own wheel, giving you plenty of time to practise techniques and work at your own pace.
In the final session, you will focus on finishing techniques and glazing to give your pieces their final surface and character.
The small group setting allows space for immersion, experimentation and individual guidance throughout the process.
