Club Coyote - Release + support: Alpaca Red

Join us for a release concert when Club Coyote visits Stairway with their latest releases.

Club Coyote is a danish, young trio that has carved out its own space between Nordic jazz, roots music, and cinematic soundscapes. Acoustic guitars in many forms played by Magnus Munk Tækker and Cahlo Heyman Krill meet the airy trumpet of Jon Askjær. The result - a blend of the traditional, the nordic and the cinematic.

Inspired by the open landscapes, Club Coyotes music moves between repetitive rhythmic figures and memorable melodies that linger long after the music ends.

Club Coyote is:

Jon Askjær on trumpet / flugelhorn.

Magnus Munk Tækker on guitar / slide.

Cahlo Heyman Krill on guitar, banjo & organ bass.

Support: Alpaca Red

Alpaca Red is the solo project of Aarhus-based Danish-New Zealand artist Nikolai Kjeldager Ryan, who also is the lead singer of the indie band Little Winter.

At the same time, Nikolai has developed Alpaca Red as a more personal solo project, where he writes and produces the music himself. The music spans a spectrum ranging from folk, rock, indie, and bedroom pop, with clear roots in the singer-songwriter tradition.

During his time in New Zealand, he has performed as Alpaca Red at bars, cafés, and small venues, particularly in and around Auckland and Whangarei.

Music has been a natural part of his upbringing, in which his father played a significant role and helped shape his love for folk and the classic singer-songwriter tradition.

The songs in Alpaca Red are rooted in a personal expression, where both simple and more classic song structures coexist side by side.
