Lost2Reality: Sofus Forsberg (live) + P(h)ony Cat

Experience experimental electronic music when Sofus Forsberg and P(h)ony Cat take to the stage for the second concert in the Lost2Reality series.

For the second installment in the series of electronic Wednesday concerts, Lost2Reality presents a rare opportunity to experience Sofus Forsberg in an experimental live set on his modular system. We’re also very pleased to once again be joined by P(h)ony Cat, bringing along a melting pot of melancholic melodies and quirky beats.

Sofus Forsberg:

An experienced producer who lives for atmospheric, industrial sound within the deeply hypnotic techno genre. This evening, however, is something special, as Sofus breaks away from techno’s sharp 4/4 rhythms with an experimental live set.

Sofus is known for his virtuosic live performances on modular synthesizers, where, after six years in Berlin, he became an organic part of the thriving and inspiring techno scene. His music is created for both dance and reflection, with the intention of offering a deep and transformative experience—uplifting yet intense—resembling a modern shamanistic journey.

In recent years, highlights have included performances at renowned festivals such as Modem, Ozora, and Boom, as well as in clubs across Europe—and at the Boiler Room Machines event.

P(h)onycat:

Behind the DJ project P(h)onycat is Matilde Møller – an experienced connoisseur in the Aarhus electronic scene. Since the early 00s, Matilde has been nerding out and collecting electronic music.

P(h)onycat’s sets are melodic, genre-anarchistic, and playful. Free from the 'modern' DJ dogmas of genre, bpm, and 4/4 mixing. It’s clear that Matilde’s musical upbringing is rooted in the 90s, where she fell in love with jazz, IDM, and trip-hop.

Expect skewed beats and melancholic melodies – a musical melting pot of electronica, IDM, drum'funk, soul, hip hop, avant-garde pop, and all that JAZZ.
