The Ninth Gate
Join us for a screening of Roman Polanski’s The Ninth Gate (1999), a visually rich neo-noir thriller loosely inspired by Arturo Pérez-Reverte’s novel The Club Dumas. The story follows rare book dealer Dean Corso as he is drawn into a world of occult mysteries, manipulation and escalating danger.
After the screening, we invite you to reflect on the film’s atmosphere, storytelling and its exploration of belief, obsession and power. We open for discussion about Polanski’s cinematic style, the noir influences and the film’s enigmatic tone.
