Vinterjazz: A Tribute To Jens Winther

A Tribute to Jens Winther brings together five of the most significant jazz musicians from the Danish scene, who have recorded seven of Winther's original compositions. At the forefront are the two prominent trumpeters Anders Malta and Erik Kimestad (NO), both strong representatives of the younger generation of Nordic jazz. The rhythm section includes Jens Winther's son, pianist Carl Winther, who in recent years has gained international recognition and toured the world with names such as David Liebman, Jerry Bergonzi, and Walt Weiskopf.

Together, the quintet breathes new life into Winther's powerful, melodic, and deeply personal universe—music full of energy, lyrical strength, and modern Nordic nerve.
