CAPSULA SESSIONS Vol.2

Peña in the Backyard

CAPSULA SESSIONS is a format that proposes cultural gatherings where live music, community, and artistic identity come together to create authentic experiences. In this second edition, Peña in the Backyard, the project expands into a daytime, multidisciplinary format, using the idea of the “backyard” as a space for gathering, connection, and shared time.

Inspired by the Latin American tradition of the peña, the event draws from the spirit of informal gatherings where music emerges spontaneously, food is shared, and people come together. The backyard —as an everyday and universal space— becomes the heart of the experience: a place where the social and the cultural naturally blend. Rather than recreating a tradition, the proposal translates its essence into a contemporary context, creating an environment where art happens among people.

Line up

The musical curation brings together projects with a strong identity, connected to folkloric roots and contemporary explorations:

Candombe DK

A Copenhagen-based sociocultural project working with the Afro-Uruguayan tradition of candombe, combining a fusion format with urban rhythms and a final collective percussion moment.

Lucas Delacroix

Argentine guitarist and composer whose project moves between instrumental and narrative forms, creating sonic landscapes that combine elements of folklore and vintage textures.

Duo Sonus

A duo formed by Amalie Ravnsbæk and Romena Lengvinaite, exploring tango from a contemporary perspective, integrating traditional repertoire with new interpretations and compositions.

Munay

An ensemble dedicated to Argentine folklore, combining music and dance while inviting the audience to participate and connect with rhythms such as zamba, chacarera, and cueca.

Eleggua (workshop)

Eleggua (Workshop): an open collective improvisation space inviting people with or without musical experience to create music through rhythm, play, and shared listening. Led by Felipe Di Giancinti.

The event is complemented by a series of artistic proposals in popup format and live activations that expand the experience beyond music:

Ana Duje

Illustrator with a vibrant and contemporary visual language, recognized for clean geometric compositions and bold color palettes reflecting a global and dynamic perspective.

Art Khemia

A collage project that proposes a collective experience inspired by the “exquisite corpse,” where participants build pieces collaboratively, exploring creativity as a shared process.

Bicho Dibujado

Visual artist combining analog drawing and digital processes to create narratives that move through architecture, nature, and everyday life with an ironic and reflective perspective.

SABIAS

A handpoke tattoo project that approaches the body as a space for expression, offering intimate and conscious interventions through an artisanal practice.

Raíces Libros

A curated selection of books in Spanish for all ages, creating a space for reading and cultural connection within the event.

Food

The food proposal plays a central role in the experience, reinforcing its social dimension:

Hola! Empanadas

A project that brings classic Argentine flavors through a simple and approachable format, where empanadas become a familiar and shareable food experience.

Tango Grill

A proposal inspired by fire-based cooking and Argentine culinary culture, featuring live preparation that highlights process, aroma, and interaction, in a dynamic format centered on sandwiches and street food.

La Bristol

An artisanal bakery bringing Argentine pastry traditions, with products such as medialunas and facturas that combine identity and culture.

CAPSULA SESSIONS Vol.2 – Peña in the Backyard is conceived as a living space where music, art, and food integrate naturally, creating a close and community-driven environment. A gathering where culture is not only presented, but lived and built collectively.
