MeshCore 101

Get introduced to MeshCore and LoRa, and build your own mesh network in a hands-on workshop for adults and young people aged 15+ interested in electronics, IoT and communication technology.

How can small LoRa devices communicate with each other when mobile networks are unavailable?

In this workshop, you will get an introduction to mesh networking and MeshCore, a communication protocol for decentralized, long-range communication. The technology can be used for everything from IoT projects and sensor monitoring to communication in areas without conventional network coverage.

After the introduction, you will get hands-on experience setting up a MeshCore companion node. We will then test the technology in practice by sending messages between devices placed in different locations in and around the building.

The workshop is aimed primarily at people who are curious about DIY electronics, communication technology or IoT. No previous experience with MeshCore, LoRa or microcontrollers is required.

The workshop will primarily be held in English, but Danish is also spoken.
