Tweens ‘n’ trends: Comic workshop for kids

Try creating your very own little comic and learn how to draw facial expressions – that you can use in making your story.

This event is for kids between 8-12 years who love drawing and telling stories.

If you dream of making your first and very own comic, love drawing and have a like to make stories, then join this workshop where comic creator Simon Bukhave shares his insights on making comics and shares his best tips!

The program of the day

First, we practice drawing facial expressions and emotions, and then each participant will draw their own one-page comic.

This comic will be without text and the teacher will help the students develop their ideas and assist them in telling stories using only drawings.

Who is this event for

This event is for tweens. It is not necessary for grownups to participate with their kids. It’s possible to stay in the nearby areas and at the library during the workshop. If you reserve a ticket for grownups, we expect you to participate in the drawing exercises – which you’re very welcome to do.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level, and there is room for both complete beginners and those who have already tried to do a bit of graphic storytelling and are used to drawing.
