Join us as we celebrate the opening of our first exhibition of the year, a homage to the significant artistic work of filmmaker Lars von Trier. The event begins at 16:00. Admission is free. Everyone's invited!

Step into the world of Lars von Trier as Nikolaj Kunsthal is transformed into a total installation for our new exhibition season. This immersive experience merges film and art, creating a sensory journey through the filmmaker's unique world.

The upcoming exhibition is titled "Breaking Darkness" and has been created with contributions from, among others, Philip Sacht, who is responsible for the lighting and scenography. Author Sofie Riise Nors, who published the book "Jeg var din muse", provides a feminist perspective on Lars von Trier’s work, while the scholar and researcher Lilian Munk Rösing, author of "Hvorfor skider bjørnen i skoven? Om Lars von Triers nødvendighed", contributes her expertise on the filmmaker’s career.

We will celebrate the opening of "Breaking Darkness" on Friday, 7th February, from 16:00 to 19:00. Entry is free, with music by DJ oqbqbo (Posh Isolation), food from Villette, and free beer from Depanneur – first come, first served!
